Alisha Thompson
Director
Alisha relocated to Bend from her lifelong home of Fairbanks, Alaska in 2022 where she worked with children for over 10 years. Alisha earned her B.A in English from UAF and went on to earn her EL 1 credential from the Center for Guided Montessori Studies.
"All of my previous experiences as an educator have taught me how important it is to take time to observe, connect, and truly understand each child. My goal is to provide an environment where all children are loved and free to be their authentic selves, are provided ample opportunities to learn through play, and have their own unique interests supported. I am passionate about continuously learning more about child development through continuing education and personal research and supporting teachers and parents to do the same."
In her free time, Alisha loves to spend time with her daughter, husband, and their pets. Alisha plays guitar and violin and loves to play and write music, bake and cook, go on walks, and make crafts with her daughter.

"I grew up in Astoria, Oregon, where both of my parents taught elementary school. Outside of work, I enjoy camping, hiking, baking, thrifting, and most forms of art. I have always loved working with kids, and grew up babysitting cousins and family friends. After graduating from Clatsop Community College, I became a teacher assistant at the elementary school in Astoria. When I made the decision to move to Central Oregon, It was extremely hard leaving that job behind. Recently, I got the opportunity to work at ReVillage. The environment here encapsulates the calm, inclusive, and creative environment that I believe all children deserve. I am very excited to be a part of the team!”
